ProSocial AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that are deliberately tailored, trained, tested, and targeted to bring out the best in and for people and planet. Its foundation is hybrid intelligence: the complementarity of natural and artificial intelligences, anchored in human agency and conditioned by double literacy. It is both cause and consequence of mindsets marked by ethical responsibility and system awareness across the micro, meso, macro, and meta dimensions of life. ProSocial AI is a prototype of ProSocial Technology, which encompasses all forms of advanced technology oriented toward human and planetary flourishing.
